Shannon & Eric's National Park Wedding
Shannon & Eric (one of our all time favorite couples!) had their wedding ceremony and reception at the stunning Turpin Meadow Ranch in Jackson Wyoming—just outside of Grand Teton National Park—in front of a gorgeous mountain view and all their friends and family.
Their invitations were of course inspired by their venue and love of national parks. The overall design and typography was inspired by vintage national park posters. The focal point was a custom watercolor of the Tetons based off of one of Shannon’s gorgeous photos. We elevated everything with a touch of gold, letterpressing all the cards in a metallic gold ink and used a shimmery gold envelope.
How fun are these?! Little gold bears and moose held up their escort cards!
We’re 100% on board with their naked, minimalist cake! It looks absolutely scrumptious!
Shannon and Eric couldn’t decide between the two thank you cards we designed for them - they loved them both! Eric then decided he wanted his own personal thank you cards, so we produced both sets! One had a custom cowboy couple–reminiscent of Wyoming’s bucking bronco icon–on top of the map of Grand Teton National Park. The inside had one of their favorite quotes, “Then, with fresh heart, go down to your work, and whatever your fate, under whatever ignorance or knowledge you may afterward chance to suffer, you will remember these fine, wild views, and look back with joy to your wanderings in the blessed old Yellowstone Wonderland.” by John Muir, Our National Parks (1901). The second set featured the same mountain vista on their invitations with a blank inside.
We absolutely loved creating with Shannon and Eric. All of the time they put into making their wedding unique truly set it apart as one of our all time favorites. Seriously…this last photo says it all. #swoon
