Leigh & Carey's Chesapeake Wedding
Summer is officially here and so is Leigh & Carey’s second wedding anniversary! To celebrate, we're looking back at their beautiful Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding.
Their flower girls are too adorable! We love their awesome sandals and non-matching dresses. Who said no one but the bride can wear white?!
Leigh wanted her favorite colors for her wedding stationery: mint, light peach, a soft blue and neutral grey. We started with their Save the Date. The design centered around a custom, hand drawn map of the Chesapeake Bay, starred with their venue location. We designed and flat printed each envelope and created a unique return address label with a compass showcasing the date of their wedding. The corners are rounded to soften the square shape, keeping it light and graphic. When you flip it over, you get a beautiful engagement picture of the two on the back along with their wedding website.
The simple, typographic and modern design of their wedding invitations suite was enhanced by old school, letterpress printing. We hand pressed all of their invitation cards on soft cotton paper: the main invite, rehearsal dinner card, and the RSVP card. We also created their modern monogram which was used in their return address on the back flap of the envelope as well as on the main invitation and throughout their day-of items!
We love how Leigh and Carey incorporated their religious traditions in a modern way. Such a wonderful way to keep your ceremony personal and inclusive.
For the reception, table names were a must. We designed each after a place the couple loves, including: Bali, Cancun, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Orlando, Laos, Seattle, London, Zurich, Saint Thomas, Boston, Tanzania, New York, and more. We love how Leigh’s table banner vision came to life for these!
Just Write Studios created the awesome calligraphy seating chart and Edge Floral Designers adorned it with gorgeous flowers.
We love Leigh and Carey’s creative, monogrammed welcome bag! It was all decked out with plenty of water, their favorite chocolate chip cookie, a moscow mule cocktail kit, and mints with scalloped edged stickers of their monogram! At the reception they even had custom cups #monogrameverything #obsessed!
Buttercream Bakeshop did an amazing job designing their cake; it perfectly fits their vibe!
For the final touch we created thank you postcards. These provided the same lovely messages and appreciation as a normal thank you card, just less postage and envelope licking ;)
