Koryn & Jason's Romantic Oceanside Wedding

When we first met with Koryn and Jason, they weren’t exactly sure what they wanted for their wedding invitation but they knew they wanted it to be special. During our consult, we chatted about their wedding day and then got into the story of how they met and how they fell in love. Jason described how after hiking up a mountain to take in the view over Malibu he looked over at Koryn and knew she was the one. Watching them tell this story, seeing how they lit up and how they looked at each other…THIS was it.

This is what we would showcase on their wedding invitations. The view from where they fell in love in the form of a whimsical watercolor. Using their airy, romantic color palette and the views of the Santa Monica beach where they’d tie the knot as inspiration, we painted this custom art just for Koryn and Jason.

“We came to Ashleigh in a panic and with just a basic color scheme she came up with the most beautiful and original design after asking us a few questions for inspiration. The invitations, thank you cards and day-of stationery she created for our wedding were special, unique and memorable. She beyond delivered on a shorter than normal timeline!... ”

We love seeing how all the details came together, especially when they’re shot this beautifully! Major kudos to Kirsten Ellis of Beaux Arts Photographie.

“...Ashleigh is incredibly talented, creative and responsive and a pleasure to work with. She even found a vendor to print one of our larger items close to our wedding venue so we wouldn’t have to mail or carry the sign on the plane. We couldn’t recommend her more!!”

One of my favorite moments as a wedding stationer and artist came the day after Koryn and Jason got married. I received a text from Koryn saying how the sunset they had during their ceremony matched the sunset I had painted for them! swoon! She sent me the two pictures below that a guest shot on their phone to show me the sunset. How cool is that?!

DID YOU KNOW?

The canopy under which Jewish couples stand when they are married is called a chuppah. The chuppah represents the new home a couple establishes through their marriage. It also represents the sheltering presence of God and the wish for God's blessing over the couple. We love how elegant Koryn and Jason’s chuppah was!

We used ombré watercolor art to accent signage, escort cards, and other custom day-of stationery.

CONGRATULATIONS KORYN AND JASON!!
