Fashion Night Ignites 2019: The Hidden Language of Diplomacy

Fashion Night Ignites is a celebration of global nations and cultures, bringing together diplomacy, fashion, and philanthropy. The mission is to promote up-and-coming designers from different countries around the world. Diplomacy & Fashion envisions the creation of an exclusive network with an emphasis on fashion and the future of the industry in the center of the world’s diplomacy. Fashion Night Ignites, co-chaired by Indira Gumarova and Zarah Burstein and in collaboration with the Embassies of the Czech Republic, Malta, and Slovenia, launches fashion to the forefront of diplomacy in Washington, DC.

Fashion Night Ignites was hosted at the Perry Belmont House, a significant example of Beaux-Arts style architecture in Washington and one of DC’s architecturally and historically hidden gems.

This past Saturday was a dream for the both of us, to take an idea and make it into reality and executing the mission of bringing a fashion industry to Washington. ”

Fashion Night Ignites featured designers included: Maja Štamol from Slovenia, Dur Doux from DC, Burnett New York from New York, Poner from the Czech Republic, and Charles & Ron from Malta.
