A Celebration of Martin Puryear

Martin Puryear is a celebrated American sculpture artist. Agnes Gund, Jo Carole & Ronald Lauder, Emily & Mitch Rales, and Darren Walker, along with the Glenstone Museum, hosted a dinner in honor of his exhibit at the 58th Venice biennale.

Inspired by Puryear’s Big Phrygian (shown above), we worked with Glenstone’s design team to create modern, minimal save the dates and invitations for this exclusive event.

Each save the date was letterpressed by hand in crimson ink on luxurious 220lb white cotton paper. Then it was backed with matching red cardstock for a very graphic, modern feel.

The accompanying envelopes were matte white, digitally printed with each guest’s address designed to match the styling of the cards.

Following up the save the date, the invitation needed to be just as minimal, clean and grand. So, we designed them to be the reverse! The red cardstock was now the front printed with matte, white foil stamping. Then each card was backed with the same double thick cotton paper we used for the save the dates.

We love creating and printing for such modern, minimal, and exclusive events!
