All About Family: Jessica & Raj's Destination Wedding
Jessica and Raj’s bespoke wedding invitations are so lux and one of our absolute favorites!
Their destination theme took over with a custom laser cut monstera leaf, gatefold backing. This revealed and framed their main invite which was engraved in three metallics to represented each of their children (so awesome!). The rest of the text was letterpressed in a matching botanic green ink.
The back of the invitation has a custom pocket which held their details and rsvp cards and envelope. We balanced formal and fun with their design, incorporating fun icons for each event and entrée choice!
All three cards had a main engraving color: gold for the main invite, silver for the details card, and rose gold for the rsvp card. We edged each card with its corresponding metallic ink. Being able to add edging is just one of the reasons we love double thick lettra paper!
Luxury printing and papers elevated their invitations and thank you cards. Each invitation card was engraved and letterpressed. We used the same metallic inks to letterpress their thank you note cards, by hand. We chose to design their thank you cards as monogrammed stationery so that they could use them beyond simply thanking their wedding guests.
Their wedding weekend took place at the absolutely stunning Rosewood Mayakoba resort on the Riviera Maya. Jessica and Raj added their own personalized touch to the resort by adding their monogram to the bottom of the pool! So cool!
Jessica & Raj gave all their guests a lux welcome bag! They were stuffed with all the essentials: sunscreen, mints, a hangover kit, etc. Type A created welcome itinerary cards and custom tags to completely personalize the bags.
Jessica and Raj had the most fun fiesta welcome dinner! They even incorporated a mariachi band, a candy bar, and a salsa bar! The dinner was held at the Aqui Me Quedo Restaurant at the Rosewood Mayakoba. This beautiful restaurant was named for the feeling “Here I Stay.”
Right before their ceremony, Jessica surprised Raj with custom tri-colored cufflinks! Raj gave Jessica a bracelet that also had all three metallic colors. Each of their children also got their own bracelet in their own metallic color, so sweet.
Vanessa Jaimes Floral Design dressed the ceremony canopy in the same beautiful foliage that created Jessica’s bouquet.
Guests were given programs that doubled as fans! An easy way to cool down in the hot Mexican sun.
The most important moment: joining two families into one.
Now to start the party! Jessica & Raj knew their guests would party long into the night so they provided guests with flip flops, conveniently labeled with a tag stating their size.
We created place cards for each guest with their entrée choice symbol. Each guest also got their own mini wedding cake!
